I am a freelance Illustrator and Visual Development Artist for Entertainment based in LA.
I come from a small town surrounded by rice patties in Ibaraki, Japan, but grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and then San Diego, California. For this reason, I am a hodgepodge of a person with a love for both Japanese and American art and films.
I ventured out into LA to study Animation and Entertainment Art at Otis College of Art and Design, where I also discovered my love for drawing and painting in traditional mediums. Now, I am (again) a mishmash of an artist who loves designing worlds for Entertainment but also pushing around paint and graphite on paper.
When I'm not huddled in my cozy studio, I enjoy going out into nature, perusing galleries and museums, and having a drink with my friends and family.
