Graduated from University of the arts London with a Master degree of Illustration and visual arts in 2021. Starting my artistic journey in 2018, as an illustrator who works on digital art, I explored my visual languages through different materials and mediums, using cheerful colors to present quirky things and try to capture emotional moments in life. Collaborated with publishing companies, magazines, museums and different brands.
Projects
- Understanding Lingnan ArchitectureAs the illustrator and layout designer, I worked with Guangdong Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Guangdong People Press to create this book back in 2018. The first edition came out in the mainland China in 2020, later this book was published by Hong Kong open page company in Hong Kong as a special edition in 2022.
- Lunatic Deduction 1,2,3 (Book cover design)In 2020 and 2021, I was commissioned by Beijing Motie Press to create book covers for a suspense novel called Lunatic Deduction which has 3 volumes in total. The first volume was published in 2020, later the second one came out in 2021, recently the final was out in spring, 2023. The whole series of book cover illustrations was created digitally, combined with handmade texture. It was such a pleasure to work with Beijing Motie Press.
- 24 solar terms (Spring)In 2018, I worked in Guangdong Museum as an intern designer. The 24 solar terms project was designed as wallpaper for the museum's social media posts. There are 72 illustrations in total of this project. Each of them represent different changes of the plants, animals or weathers during the seasons. It is part of the traditional Chinese culture.
