A certified junior interior designer with two years of experience in residential, hospitality & public projects, with colourful dreams, adventure, & spontaneity running through my veins. With a broad range of experience in disciplines such as kitchen design, joinery schemes, furniture design, project scheduling & budgeting, I offer expertise in all facets of interior design & have a great passion for providing approved, timeless & functional interiors to individuals of diverse cultural & socioeconomic background. Being of middle eastern origin I am very in touch with my heritage & have always been very exposed to rich art & culture the middle east provides. Working on public projects with London Borough of Ealing Council & currently in the first phase of designing a kitchen for a private residential project.
Supporting the team in preparation for their Summer/Autumn show in Paris. Tasks were varied & included categorising of fabrics in order of colour, texture & use, filing, & working alongside the admissions team, making sure files were up to date with the present fabrics collection.
This role required day to day administrative work, as well as producing technical drawings & visuals using software such as ArtiCAD & AutoCAD. Attended site visits with the company director, placed orders for materials & made sure clients & potential clients received a warm greeting & a positive experience when visiting the showroom.
Producing sketches & hand drawn technical drawings for a residential project. Creating mood boards using samples from the sample library. Sourcing furniture, placing orders online & liaising with clients & suppliers to ensure the full satisfaction of the clients’ needs are met.

Attending client meetings & site visits, working closely with architects, structural engineers & builders to determine how interior spaces will function, look & be furnished. Assisting in innovative design ideas for a project in Europe, attending to client queries at client meetings & producing mood boards in order to give a clearer outline of the scheme that was put into place.
Responsible for the delivery of interior fit-out projects from conception to completion. Negotiating with suppliers for materials, placing orders online, over the phone & via face to face contact at the specified showrooms. Attending many supplier meetings with the team, learning about different styles & how different fabrics can be used in many different ways. Working on many drawings & sample boards for high end residential projects using AutoCAD & specifications & budgeting using EstiPC. Provided cover as a showroom assistant for a day, this role required greeting clients, tracking orders & deliveries.
This role involved working on both a high end residential & landscape design project, creating sample boards, attending client & site meetings with the company director, & working alongside the architect to produce up to date plans, drawings & visuals using AutoCAD & SketchUp. Maintaining efficient relations with clients, attending to client queries on all matters, thus ensured high client service standards.
A one week internship programme that took place during my studies at KLC. This placement involved an introduction to Vectorworks, by using it to produce many drawings for a hospitality project & also sourcing furniture for their new office layout which was due to start summer 2016. Towards the end, I spent most of my time managing the sample library, restocking old & new books alongside fabrics & products.
