I'm Zahra Warsame an award-winning Graphic Designer, London MISTD. I work in multiple disciplines from Motion Graphics to Digital Design. With a special focus on visual and interactive journalism. I graduated from Winchester School of Art and I'll be pursuing a masters in interactive journalism this September. I'm passionate about all things news, current affairs and storytelling. I'm also a member of the International Society of Typographic Designers.

- #SYHACKED-MOBILE SITEPushing the boundaries of traditional journalism, #SYHACKED an interactive mobile site aims to introduce 'a new kind of war' Syria's cyber war. The aim was to Introduce Syria's cyber war in a game-like format opening this current subject to a new audience. Based on Al Jazeera English award winning programme People and Power this Juliana Ruhfus documentary is re-told in a new format.
- STUART HALL - RACE, GENDER & MEDIAProduced by the Listening Post, a new animated film by Zahra Warsame & Ilze Juhnevica exploring the work of Jamaican-British cultural theorist Stuart Hall. Known as the ‘Godfather of Multiculturalism’, Stuart Hall (1932-2014) gave us tools to understand how representation is always imbued with ideology - and how to resist.

- STUART HALLAnimation created for Al Jazeera's Listening Post program that dissects world's media processes and operations. This animation was part of Media Theorised project that reflected key ideas of main media theorists in the world. Stuart Hall was known as the ‘Godfather of Multiculturalism’. Collage medium and monochrome visual language have been used to tell the story. Role in the project - creating initial storyboards, mood boards, style and the design, animation and post production stage.
- #HACKEDAn interactive mobile game aims to introduce Syria's cyber war. Based on Al Jazeera English documentary “Syria’s Electronic Armies”. I was involved trough out the project in creation of initial wireframes, user experience design as well front design and final branding stages. It have won The Drum Online Media Awards 2017 for Best Brand Development. As well nominated for The Webby Awards 2017 in category best Integrated Mobile Experience.
