About me
My name is Zaïre, I have recently completed a BA Honours Degree in Textiles Design at The National College of Arts & Design in Dublin. Throughout my time there I have developed skills in Design and research development through process-based trial and experimentation, research based activity, findings, and critical reflection. I have also acquired skills in screen and digital textile processes, illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Photography, Creative Direction and exhibition curating and planning. I am actively seeking opportunities to gain professional experience in the art and design sphere as I’m extremely passionate about the arts and its history and would love to be involved in the research and creative direction aspect of it. I’m currently based in Dublin, working as the creative director and brand developer for a multidisciplinary platform I co-founded called Ilunga. I speak 4 languages, one of which includes French, and I'm currently learning a 5th language which is Italian for no reason other then the fact that I think it's beautiful. Thank you for your time, Zaïre

The course taught me to develop a personal visual language and skills necessary to translate into successful Textile and Surface Design practice. We also focused on researching and defining a specific audience and developing a market understanding through professional practice. This approach to research got me ready to develop my own program of study, which reflected my individual skills and interests within Textile and Surface Design and Textile Art and artifact.
