About me
I am an Irish designer and maker. I have an imagination, an excitement over creative things, a love of colour. As a childrenswear designer I research trends, design prints, design garments, compile ranges and seasonal collections. I love a project that works the whole way through from concept to completion. I am drawn toward tactility, using my hands, taking a raw material and turning it into something beautiful. As a maker work with analogue processes. I create drawings, collages, patterns, printed fabrics, knitted designs and ceramics. I love the process of making and I love the nature of the handmade
Projects
  • Tir na nOg
Tir na nOgThis project was my Graduate Collection at Edinburgh College of Art. It was inspired by research for my dissertation "Colour and Textiles : forecasting the future of sustainable production". Pieces were designed with social and environmental sustainability in mind. Using locally sourced materials and craft processes, the project espoused the principles of Slow Design. I received a First Class BA Honours.
