- Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, my responsibilities included the development and implementation of Queen Mary’s scholarships strategy, aimed at increasing student volumes and quality. - Successfully designed, improved and automated scholarship processes across 14 schools. - Created a marketing plan to raise awareness of scholarships (both online and offline) by actively promoting them on social media, events (open days, external fairs for UG and PGT, International Scholars Reception), produced a suite of marketing collateral; flyers, presentation slides for schools (for open days), videos, survey, competitor analysis, redesigned the scholarships website to include an interactive searchable database.

o Marketing Executive – Retail & Consumer UK & EMEA July 2006 – January 2008 - Reported to the Head of Marketing, my role was to assist with the re-branding process across UK sites (following the merger between Exel and DHL) and support business integration to ensure their daily and forecasting marketing needs were met. - Identified, organised and managed several marketing campaigns such as Extended Supply Chain, Retail Week Supply Chain Conference, Sustainable Distribution, CILT UK Annual Awards, MFI Event, Green Supply Chain and the British Retail Consortium Dinner to promote DHL Exel Supply Chain. - Gained insight into PMO. - Supported business development and solutions by conducting business intelligence research such as competitor analysis. - Created marketing communications for both internal and external stakeholders, for example created a bi-monthly interactive e-consumer newsletter for the internal consumer team and developed newsletters for Unilever, British American Tobacco and DHL employees. - Wrote editorials and advertorials that appeared in the Grocer magazine, Supply Chain Standard, Retail Packaging, Logistics Manager, the Grocer, Logistics Focus and Retail Week. - Developed and maintained supporting sales and marketing materials including sales presentations, product collaterals and value proposition case studies for the Consumer sector team. - Co-ordinated and controlled knowledge management promotion and development of project place and the internal corporate intranet. - Worked closely with functional heads and the global marketing team within the organisation in order to achieve marketing objectives. o Operations Controller - European Collection Services - Automotive November 2004 – July 2006 - Reported to the Operations Manager, my responsibility was to control the end-to-end supply chain to/from suppliers in Europe to Automotive plants in the UK. - Accountable for the profit & loss for the contract. - Managed difficult situations within tight timescales. - Actively tendered for new business with some successful wins, i.e. Perkins. Successfully implemented the Cummins contract and a new business win – IMI Norgren and Cornelius (working alongside Exel Industrial). - Managed sub-contractors and ensured deliveries / collections were made at the right time, controlled paperwork – both inbound and outbound, problem solving, dealing with ad hoc queries. - Set up, collated and analysed data for various customers using Key Performance Indicator’s. Monitored progress on vehicle utilisation, supplier performance and identifying non/profitable routes. - Working with functional heads to implement the Automotive Integrated Management System (AIMS) on the site. o European Graduate Management Scheme in the Automotive Sector November 2003 – November 2004 - Worked with functional heads and their Co-ordinators across Europe to define, approve, publish and implement functional procedures to ISO standard. - Conducted internal audits across the business and top management reviews to ensure compliance. - Supported training and awareness programme across Europe for management teams. - Supported certificate change, working and supporting functional teams with certification supplier.
