About me

I am a book publisher, journalist and the founder of Bloom – a magazine celebrating gardening and nature. My career started at Metro and Time Out London, where I was a culture writer and features editor, before moving into publishing. I launched book lists and commissioned award-winning, trend-led titles in the categories of cookery, drink, gardening, travel, craft and narrative non-fiction for companies including Octopus and Hardie Grant. As a freelancer, I continue to commission books for big publishing houses. I also project manage, copy edit and write editorial and branded content for companies including Hearst, Hachette, Ink and more. I founded Bloom in autumn 2018, creating a fresh, modern magazine for gardening and nature lovers. Bloom mixes hardworking how-tos with thought-provoking stories, from growing tip top tomatoes to the role of nature in our psychiatric wards. It has more than 100 international stockists.
