I have a passion for seeing things differently, for those little things that will make someone think about what they have just seen. After coming from two practical degrees BA Media (Advertising) & MSC Creative Advertising, I have realised that just making something that is designed well isn't all that matters, there needs to be an underpinning story or difference that can be fortified and expressed to the consumer. A Brand is only as strong as the strategy behind it and I want to be involved in that process.
My work at Underscore has been an eclectic combination of Account management, creativity,strategy and project management. After working my way up from an Intern, I was given the responsibility of handling my own accounts. These varied across brand, communications, digital and print. I have worked across multiple platforms including art direction of multiple video shoots, photo-shoots, brochure designs, delivery of a variety of websites and holding client workshops to unlock brands. I also managed off & on-site development teams, creating and inputting content, reviewing medium/high fidelity wireframes, ensuring UX & UI are appropriate for the brand and producing CMS guides/handovers for both Wordpress and & Concrete 5.
My work so far at Underscore has been an eclectic combination of creativity and strategy, putting my powers of photoshop and InDesign to use but also helping to come up with propositions, stories and managing projects. Working within the team I have been able to learning so much in such a short time, My main creative opportunities so far have been to create storyboards for animations, multiple social media posts and a range of articles. As well as weekly presentations and briefing documents. My main strategic opportunities have included, Writing cost proposals & timings for brands to ensure that both parties understand their roles and deliverables, managing a luxury brand through their creative and deliverable process including web build and print, and creating logistical proposals and time frames. Further opportunities have also included delivering analytics documents and making an incredible pot of coffee! I have been able to work on multiple brands including Longbow, Seafish, Chambers travel management, multiple companies within the property sector and also internal communications for Underscore.
