A photographer trying to make a portfolio website but stuck on the best layout for it!

I’m trying to build 3 websites with WIX one for me, one as a favour to a colleague and one for another. Anyone down to offer some portfolio inspiration or downloadable templates I could use?

  • Stepping into Capstone Project's realm as an amateur enthusiast has been a revelation. Its vast spectrum of topics and vibrant community foster an immersive learning experience: https://www.phdresearchproposal.org/. Engaging here fuels my curiosity and propels me towards deeper exploration. An invaluable sanctuary for those eager to expand their horizons!
  • The thing is: if you look for the best of the best you'll never finish looking :) Try to understand what you want to achieve, show and how you want to present yourself. I usually look for inspiration only in a couple of websites I like, these are good https://www.siteinspire.com/websites?categories=19+109
  • Hey Savannah!
Think about what you are trying to achieve. The whole point of a porfolio is to showcase the work, so don't over do it. Keep it simple. Keep the eye on your work.
My very personal opinion when it comes to portfolios is keeping it simple so that clients can find and ADMIRE your photos more easily. Hope that helps!
  • Best bet would be that is to look at other photograpghy websites (both good and bad) and note down the best practices that are consistent across all the websites, note down whats good and whats working and also the things that arent good so you can avoid for the website your making. I have a photography portolio that I built for fun that you can take a look at if you want, just let me know.
