After a long and passionate career w/ Comedy Central, I am exploring what's next. 20+ years is a double-edged sword -- any recommendations?
Here is my portfolio site grfxfreak.com -- it is both a portfolio and a retrospective of my experience.
Of course, COVID complicates things, but I am more concerned about seeming like a dinosaur, stuck in a job for 20 years, when nothing could be further than the truth.
My role evolved year over year, with major technological, social, managerial and organizational changes along the way, each affecting our operations and creative process in monumental ways. Throughout it all, my design team was a beacon of integrity, good will, and vibrant creativity, and I could not be prouder of our work together.
But now, it is time for new challenges, and in a particulary challenging environment. I would appreciate any constructive input on my site, and how I might better position myself for the next chapter.
In the same respect, I would be happy to share any thoughts or feedback that my experience might serve.
Thank you.
- Chris

- @Anna Dora L. Thank you for your candor and recommendations. They are very much appreciated. Admittedly, my day to day became more about creative managment than hands-on design, so I am digging back into what gets my inspiration flowing, and training up on the old favorites and a few of the new tools.
- Hello Chris,I had a look at on your site and it's a bit tricky one... if I'm extremely honest I can tell from your work that you didn't move around for a while. I really don't want to sound like a twat but rather to be constructive so I would highlight:- do you have a practise to check out the work of new people?- researching on Behance, Pinterest?- are you aware of the work of guys like Pentagram, &Walsh?- are you visited conferences like Offf Barcelona, Us by Night, D&AD?Happy to elaborate feel free to drop me a mail on 4nn414@gmail.com
