Any advice form TikTok users, I mainly create still images, what is the best way to promote my work on TikTok

  • One bit of advice I'd give you is that even if you use still images, there are creative ways that you can use to spice things up! For example, what I see that does well on Instagram (Reels) and TikTok are photography stills in a clever way...

What I see a lot is the use of still images that sync with the beat of a popular/trending music track. You could try something similar with your work.

Like you I'm someone who posts still images from time to time, and when I do, I use an app called 'CapCut' to add some nice transitions that go with the flow of music I'm using.

I've noticed that behind the scenes, showing up more in front of the camera helps too - we gravitate toward people and their personalities and we love seeing how creatives make magic happen.

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there (although I know it feels uncomfortable/unnatural to do so - it won't be easy but it's worth it).

    Good luck!!
  • Show your process. If it stresses you out to film, then no need to shoot while you work. You can just show the end result and explain why you picked those colours, the shapes and textures, what challenges you had while making your illustrations. It’s literally just documenting your work.
