Any tips/advice for a second-year design student trying to find an internship in the current climate of the world?
And anything that can I could do to be more of value, though virtually only being able to work remotely due to the pandemic?

- Hi Kieran, Christopher has got some really good points. I would also suggest maybe setting up a side business maybe on etsy or Redbubble store where you can sell your on graphics and illustrations. It's a good side project and something you could use for your portfolio and good talking point. Also get in touch with relatives or friends who you could do freelance projects for example they might need a logo for their own company.
- @Abolade Akintunde That would be amazing! I'd love to have a chat, I'll drop you a message?

- @Christopher Hunt Thank you! I definitely haven’t looked at it from that angle yet! To team up and solve the problem that I have myself instead of waiting is exactly what I need to do!
- Kieran, instead of waiting for something to happen, go out and get it yourself. Join a freelance website, add work to a portfolio website. Showing initiative under the current situation is better than waiting for someone to give you a handout. Excuse the direct comment. If you are waiting for someone to change your situation, you may have a long wait. Change and create your own world by identifying an opportunity.Team up with some of your university mates and work as a creative team, using a freelance website, call it the CA - The Creative Apprentices, strength is in numbers.Don't wait for the world to give you a handout. Doing your own thing whilst you wait will be less frustrating and empowering. Also, you will be gaining experience until a company offers you an opportunity. You will also stand out a mile.
