  • @Andrei Pacuraru they also have a really strange way to match jobs with professionals: for example I live in Italy but often I can't apply to a job in London but I can do it for a Singapore gig and this makes no sense to me

  • In my experience, if you are just starting out and you are okay with being exploited in order to gain some experience it's not that bad of a place. I'd rate it slightly higher than Facebook filmmaking groups.

    If you are a working professional, avoid it like the plague. Every year it makes me just about enough money to cover its cost.

    For example, I get jobs that advertise for DOP £250/day for labour and "Netflix qualifying equipment". Most first camera assistants I know would scoff at that rate and they are supposed to be 2 paygrades under the DOP.
