As an independent creative, when is the right time to find yourself an agent and/or manager?

Hi Lucinda 
I became an independant creative  a couple of years ago. I haven't had an agent up until now but am I am considering it as I don't particularly enjoy the networking side of being independent. I would love to be able to just focus on the work. Obviously the key is finding an agent that is the right fit.  Not sure where to start!
