Freelance/consultant Creative Director. Based in London. 20+ years experience in Fashion Art Design.
After studying Fine Art and Art History at Goldsmiths, London, I worked as a freelance creative in the art, fashion and design.
From 2010 - 2021 I was the Art Director at the luxury accessories brand Anya Hindmarch, managing a creative team, developing brand identity/image, originating concepts for seasonal collections, campaigns, fashion week shows/installations and commissioning marketing initiatives (collaborating with artists, photographers, illustrators, animators and film makers)
Projects
- Anya Hindmarch, Circulus Collection 2017Some of the creativity around the SS17 collection. The 'Circulus' London Fashion Week Show (with INCA events) A series of collage/illustrations by Cecilia Carlstedt - used as a print campaign and in windows. An animated campaign film collaboration with digital artist Karan Singh. One of a series of films showing the craftsmanship behind the collection - filmed in Italy.
- Chubby Hearts - Anya HindmarchStarting on Valentine's Day and continuing throughout London Fashion Week, giant chubby heart balloons were suspended over (and sometimes squashed within) London landmarks as a declaration of love to the city. This was echoed by multi channel digital and instore activity and events. The project had huge organic reach on instagram. Over12 million hits. I worked on the project from the concept stage through to branding, graphics and content creation (film, photography etc)
- Chubby Cloud - Anya HindmarchTo celebrate London Fashion Week we created Chubby Cloud, an experiential installation inspired by the cloud motif in our Chubby Collection. Located at Banqueting House in London, visitors were able to climb on and sink into the world’s largest bean bag under the magnificent Rubens ceiling. This three-day event included a series of talks, meditations, a cafe, a shop, music and bedtime stories that the public were able to book into in support of Historic Royal Palaces. - Waste Not, Want Not CampaignAnya Hindmarch's Waste Not, Want Not Campaign was a response to the 92 million tonnes of dead stock and textile waste created in the Fashion Industry every year. I worked on the concept, art direction and content creation for this campaign. - The PostBox MazeTo celebrate the launch of Anya Hindmarch's Postbox bag, the Postbox Maze was an immersive art installation inspired by M. C. Escher’s mural, designed for The Hague Post Office. The event took place in Brewer Street Car Park, London, during London Fashion Week September 2019 As well as solving the Postbox Maze – a unique tessellated design created by leading maze and puzzle designer Adrian Fisher - visitors also experienced installations in collaboration with Letters Live, artefacts from The
