Calling all film directors/producers or film companies; professional marketer seeks internship to gain industry experience - can you help?
Hi, as part of my up-skilling plan for my career change process I would like to explore the opportunity to do a paid internship (min: travel and lunch expenses) as I want to continue my career in the commerically-focused aspect film distribution. There's a bit of a catch (actually I consider it a bonus) I'm an experienced marketing professional. There are some great schemes out there but none for career changers or individuals over 26 who have been employed. I'm all for supporting younger professionals- it's essential however, with the disruption of Covid, career support and gaining relevant professional experience to pursue career aspirations is now more relevant to everyone, not just recent graduates or college leavers. So I'm taking a leap of faith and inviting someone or a company to disrupt the norm and explore the possibility of ' giving a professional a go' who comes ready equipped with commercial skills, experience and qualifications and who's happy to do an coordinator level role and become a part of an industry that claims it wants to change the representation of diversity.
