- @Scott Bentley I would discourage anyone from using Wordpress for any reason. Good advice
- If you have a strong understanding of design and are happy to learn the platform I would reccomend Webflow (there are also lots of templates)If you are looking for a good looking site with minimal involvement I would suggest Wix or Squarespace.I would discourage you from using Wordpress unless you want to be constantly installing and updating plugins.
- Hi Jessica, definitely go for Wordpress and then buy a pro design for your website from themeforest.net - that way you’ll get a super design that will look good on mobile and it will give you dummy layout content to get you going. Let me know if you need any help. Based in Sussex. On Facebook I was letting people pay me what they can afford for a website and training (if that helps).
- HiTry Wordpress if you are looking for something flexible to fit your needs
- Hi Jessica, take a look at hellovlad.com and shoot me an email directly: vlad@hellovlad.com.
- Wow im so thankful for all the extremly helpful respones! i will go through DMs this evening regarding work and check out the sites mentioned. Thank you all so so much!
- Hi Jessica - I've sent you a connection request to give you some more info.ThanksPeter
- It really depends what are your needs. Also what do you mean by platform to design your own? Web design and development are two separate things. You can design in Figma however you need someone to bring it to life.If you want to build it yourself and don't have coding skills there are various platforms to choose from.I see lots of people love Squarespace here. I personally think that it is not the best option at the moment. There is Wix with Editor X what seems quite promising. Some really cool things can be done with Readymag. And my 12 points go to Webflow. There are some great templates for Webflow and lots of know-how. In my opinion it much easier to create custom design in Webflow than in Squarespace. Also quite easy to create interesting animations and interactions.
- Hi Jessica,I design custom squarespace websites which are then easy for you manage going forward. You can see examples of my work via my website - www.sassrobcreative.comPlease send me a DM or email me at info@sassrobcreative.com for any further information!Best wishes,Saskia

- Cargo.site is a good alternative to square space :)
- @Jessica Woods Hi Jessica I've built a few websites and my own personal one, in terms of a platform the usual suspects are Wix and Squarespace, though Wordpress gets mentioned there an be issues on there with some of the plug-ins not being updated regularly which some people's websites depend on for their functionality which is an issue. I noticed @Roos Levano mentioned Adobe Portfolio, this is good is you have a Behance account with Adobe (which is free), so you can uplaod projects to Behance and sync that with your Adobe Portfolio website, has some decent templates on there as well
- Hi Jessica,I recommend Adobe Portfolio
- Webflow seems to be very flexible in creating your own layout and design.
- Squarespace
