Does anyone have an hourly rate that's different to their day rate for smaller jobs? If so, how do apply your hourly and day rates?

  • I'm rubbish at all this but I know where you can find information!

Major Players (and other creative recruiters) publish salary surveys every year, which are good for guidance and reference.s (and other creative recruiters) publish annual salary surverys each year so yo@Matt Newmanu
  • For sure! This is standard practice across most industries. The main reason I would charge more for the hour is that usually, it would take some time away from other projects switching between clients for briefing/brainstorming and also encourages clients to hire you for larger projects if clients can get a deal out of commissioning me per day/half day. Hope this helps!
  • Hi Joanna,

The smaller the job the higher it makes sense to charge if you purely measure by time. I personally don't do any hourly work and even daily so every project is at least a week long. However in theory I would recommend to ask 10-20% extra just for a few hours gig.
