- Budget enough time to run it properly. A good campaign requires constant attention in my experience. Good luck!
- @Paddy O'Shaughnessy No worries, glad to help!
- @Jamie Perault thank you so much for taking the time to make such a detailed and informative response!Sounds like a smart approach, we will definitly take it all into consideration. Really appreciate the advice!
- Best case scenario is you already have a team of people who will get involved and do different tasks for the crowdfunder e.g. making a video, creating graphics, writing copy etc. What is a really great way to start is to get everyone on your team to make a list of 20 contacts that they will directly contact by phone/video chat to talk about your campaign and see if they would like to get involved by donating or just sharing.Next, come up with a calendar for your campaign, determining when you will post certain materials/contact relevant businesses or charity. I think 1 month is a good amount of time to put into it. You don't want to bombard people with daily notifications or messages in the first three weeks, just posting occassionally across different social channels but then in the last week, you can do a daily countdown reminder. This was what my team and I did when we crowd-funded for Novice, a short film that I was the first AD on. It was my first experience of crowdfunding but it exceeded our expectations as we achieved our starting goal within 24 hours. I think it was because everyone was on it from the start, people were very generous and I think they responded well to our graphics and descriptions of what the film would be.https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/novice-short-film?tk=0d5bc737241a25a0626933fed11899e9b055b3ceBest of luck!
