Graphic Designers! How do you get from a brief to the actual design? Where do you find your inspiration?

  • Moving from a brief to the actual design involves several key steps:

Understanding the Brief: Start by thoroughly understanding the client's requirements, goals, and constraints outlined in the brief. Clarify any ambiguities and gather additional information if needed.

Research and Analysis: Conduct research to gain insights into the target audience, market trends, competitors, and any relevant industry standards. Analyze the information gathered to inform the design approach.

  • i use a range of sites for inspo, my fave are pinterest and savee.it/ but i also like using archive catalogs. From theres I scribbing on my tablet and see what envolves. Also with everything, not all ideas are created equally. You might love a concept that your client HATES, but go with the flow and usually something great can come out of it. Hope that helps.
