Hello all! Has anyone got any sage wisdom for selling art as passive income - traps to expect, platforms you champion, one to avoid etc?
While I'm studying I thought to start looking into passive income avenues. I'm mainly looking at recycling some old work, fun illustration packs and maybe the odd presentation desk.
If anyone has a referral code for places like Creative Market drop me a line and I'd be happy to use one to help out a fellow designer.

- Great question @Ellie Bassford, I've just sent you a DM!
- Hi Ellie,This is possibly not the best suggestion but one you could try: I pick up monthly additions to my income with minimal effort by recycling old artwork on Redbubble and Teepublic; if you don't mind your artwork appearing on anything from dog blankets to dad caps, you could give it a try! They both have pros and cons e.g. Redbubble allow you to pick your own profit margins, Teepublic is dead easy to upload stuff to. I also tried Zazzle, but among other things I found their content reviewing system far too restrictive (they kept withdrawing work that was original with little explanation).Despite my lack of time/effort to promote my merchandise on social media (which I admit I'm very poor at doing anyway), I sell several products every month, increasing sales over the Christmas period. One caveat: you must own the copyright to any material you promote on these sites. All the best, William
