Hello Doters, I am currently looking for inspiring books from where I can get some inspiration. Any recommendations?

Feel free to share your recommendations. Movies are also an option if they are good ;)

  • these are not what one might call 'inspiring' books but the quality of the writing, the verve, the thrill of it all, well, these get me going, set a fire under me. in no order: laughter in the dark, vladimir nabokov; the day of the owl, leonardo sciascia; the noise of time, julian barnes; suspects, david thomson; speedboat, renata adler; and view with a grain of sand, wislawa szymborska (poetry). enjoy.
  • Some of my favourite books include: The Alchemist, The War of Art, Meditations (Marcus Aurelius), Principles (Ray Dalio), The Hard Thing About Hard Things (Ben Horowitz), The Fountainhead (Ayn Rand), Shoe Dog (Phil Knight), 48 Laws of Power, Keep Going (Austin Kleon), The Storyteller (Dave Grohl), Scar Tissue (Anthony Kiedis), Tao Te Ching, Outliers, Consolations of The Forest, Fear (Thich Nhat Hanh), Shantaram
  • I would recommend A thousand splendid suns by Khalid Housseni, and also All my rage by Sabhaa Tahir for music inspiration. I would recommend checking out slanted and also counter print books design-related options. Hope this helped! :)
  • Do you have a specific genre ? I'd love to recommend you books :)
