- Hi Mylene, kindly DM me please :)
- @Raafaye Ali I’m happy to discuss these terms with anyone interested in the collaboration. Thanks for your criticism... very constructive
- @Mylene Spencer I did state “I wonder how this was phrased” indicating I’m asking a question for clarity so I’m not sure exactly how i am making an assumption? It feels like you are being defensive when I’m offering some constructive criticism.I am wondering what does a collaboration mean to you/how would this be a collaboration ? . I simply sought to give you an opportunity for you to offer more detailsI gave an example of exchange for some ones skill set through textile. I don’t see it as beyond reasonable comment to make which you make it feel like it is.Are you paying for their time, their equipment, their travel? What skills trade would you offer? This is a topic in which is important to have and although I’m not seeking this opportunity It’s something every one would be better off considering
- @Raafaye AliHi, yes I’m very open to a skills trade and open to suggestions as to how we could collaborate. I Work across fashion, textiles and art direction for many different brands as a fashion and design consultant.I think it would be very presumptuous for me to say, you take photos of me and I’ll give you some textiles. When collaborating with someone it’s about discussing terms and what would work for both parties. You should ask questions before you make assumptions.
- Just wondered how this is phrased,Is this really a collaboration? Or is it a means to get a photographer to take images of you which is unpaid? If you seek some one to come tto your studios bring their thousands of pounds worth of equipment, what is it they are getting out of this exchange? Is there a skills trade? Is there textile and printed material you are giving them in exchange? The idea of helping them develop their portfolio is a poor offering and I hope you take this as constructive criticism as we are in a creative community where we should seek to empower and not exploit
