- Hey Ella, some book suggestions below. But I also recommend looking in unexpected places, too. Song lyrics are incredibly impressive when you look at them in isolation. Look at the greats - Bob Dylan, Dollar Parton, IDLES, Patti Smith.I'd say the same about watching great movies with the subtitles on. Things directed by Tarantino would be first port of call.Spoken word poets are also great places to study - check out Hollie McNish and Kate Tempest. Some stuff I've written over the years may be useful, too:https://the-dots.com/projects/teaching-487385BOOKS (some more about being a creative than specifically copy):How To Win Friends and Influence PeopleHey Whipple Squeeze ThisHow To Make It As An Advertising CreativeAnyone Can Work in AdvertisingAnything and everything by Dave TrottAnything and everything by David OgilvyAnything and everything by Mary WellsAnything and everything by George Loisverything by David Ogil@Hana TanimuravThe Advertising Concept BookHacker, Maker, Teacher, ThiefThe Copy Book, from D&ADTested Advertising MethodsReality In AdvertisingThe Adweek Copywriting HandbookThe Copywriting Sourcebook100 Great Copywriting IdeasCreative Advertising: Ideas and Techniques from the World's Best CampaignsThe Fundamentals of Creative AdvertisingPerfect Pitch
