  • Marketing, Marketing, Marketing.

I have seen a lot of people have great products but flop because they just do not know where and how to market it to get customers.

Obviously because it is people setting up an ecommerce site (hence wants to learn about it from you), they are likely to be on small budgets and do not have the funding to advertise or market with large funding.

From past experience it is quite hard to find good educational and informative techniques, ideas and guaranteed ways of finding customers, as most articles are often generic, stealing the same ideas from each other.

So any advice for amateur entrepreneurs who are setting up a small ecommerce business, on how to get customers is a goldmine, and with lockdowns and job insecurity so punishing these days, a lot of people are turning towards home-based business and ecommerce sites like Shopify are seeing a surge in takeups for new stores.
  • Hi, that's lovely - Personally I would mostly need depth in personalisation, user experience, tricks at setting the shop, connecting the products in a blog/story.
  • @Kiran Sumra Dhall Hey Kiran, thank you for the feedback personalisation is defo on my list for a future episode :) I didn't know about PSYKHE though so thanks for sharing. Would love to hear more about how the AI works so if you have more info feel free to send it to me podcast@ecommerceunboxed.com :)
  • @Rachna Makwana Thanks Rach, that's a great idea! I think it would be useful to break down how to A/B test properly, some successful case studies and also cool tools to help. I think I've got myself a new episode ;P
  • Hi Florent,

Sounds interesting. For me, I'd put AI and personalisation high on the agenda. With so many businesses claiming personalisation, the true depth is questionable. With brands like PSYKHE fusing personality with AI, innovation is changing the retail landscape as we know it.

Good luck with the Podcast- I'll keep an eye out.

    Kiran
  • Hi Florent,
    Your podcast sounds interesting!
How about the importance of A/B testing creative to get a better understanding of what engages the customers?
    Good luck with it all
    Best wishes
    Rach
