HOOKJOURNAL.COM is looking for budding music writers interested in writing think pieces and long form content.



At Hook we want to tell different stories about music. Through thoughtful journalism and genuine relationships with artists, Hook explores how music is made, how it is consumed, and what it does to us emotionally, socially and physically.

We are trying to grow our pool of talented young writers to feature on Hook Journal. Your work will sit alongside interviews or features with musicians (Durand Jones & The Indications, TOPS, Biig Piig, Allah Lahs, Jerkcurb to name a few) and on our instagram. It's a great portfolio opportunity for students or recent graduates looking for an open brief. If you're interested send examples of your work and a pitch to hello [at] hookjournal [dot] com.
