How did you all get into the industry? I'm a recent graduate looking to get into production, starting out as a runner!
As mentioned I'm looking to get into the media industry, specifically into produciton starting out as a runner. I've had experinece on student productions as a Director and Producer.
I'm a recent graduate from the University of Leeds who graduated with a degree in Film, Photography and Media. So I just wanted to ask for some advice! I've been to some networking evetns and I currently applying to loads of different schemes but with no success so far! I'm on most of the websites such as production base and mandy. Any advice is

- I would advise reaching out to productions companies with your CV.Also, look on social media and find the credits for productions and reach out to the producers directly who may be looking for runners to keep on their books in future.

- This FB group is probably a good place to join and engage with. Lots of jobs posted, people always sharing CVs and discussing the industry and sharing advice etc.https://www.facebook.com/groups/427569330649805Good luck!
- Do you drive ? It’s a must that you have a license and even better if you have your own vehicle! I would look up video production businesses in your local area and get in contact with them. I know it sounds so cliche but it’s always really good to have someone you know in the industry. Definitely join some Facebook groups too, “production rabble” has loads of advice and job postings!
