I aim to find a spatial Designer job in Manchester/ Leeds but have failed so far. How do I find a job at a difficult time like this?
I am a spatial designer with six years of experience in retail, workplace, and exhibition design and a freelance illustrator for two years now. I have gained experience in work and study in India, London, Paris, Stuttgart, and South Korea. I did my Master’s in Arts in Creative Practice for Narrative Environments, from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London and my Bachelor’s in Interior Design from CEPT University, India.
I have experience in handling projects using agile methodologies and industry best practices. I am well equipped with modern research methods, creative design thinking, and can present ideas via sketches, diagrams, collages, and intriguing 2d + 3d visuals, physical models, and construction drawings. I am proficient with software namely Autocad, Adobe - Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Procreate, 3d Sketchup, and some others e.g. MS Office, etc. I have also recently achieved certificates out of interest in coding for Font End Development and have trained to use HTML, CSS, JS, VS Editor, API, GitHub, Hosting, Bootstrap and React. I have a sound technical knowledge of on-site construction and execution processes in the physical environment.
I have a passion for all things design, a good online following, and keep up to date with the latest trends within the design community. I will make a solid addition to any team as I bring with me a multicultural perspective, a strong foundation of design thinking, idea-conceptualization, and project execution and delivery. I have worked with and led multi-disciplined teams to execute small and large projects on time within constraints and to budget. I have good communication skills and can convey design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences as well as clients and executives.
I aim to work in a creative atmosphere where collaboration and working across disciplines is a priority and with a company that focuses on creating sensible environments.
