- I’d be honest you have nice work to work as a designer part of a team for experience. Looking at your portfolio/branding work I can tell you don’t have experience how brand development works. Great you use mockups with logo wordmarks that’s all it is. Has to feel more tangible. When working in branding it’s more than a logo it’s about creating an identity system with function tha can last for years and be developed over the years.I can tell your portfolio is strongly towards the design/illustration process presentation is based on mockups set backs the illustration and design.Creating a portfolio isn’t about throwing everything in to prove yourself it’s it has to feel honest --- presenting your work in a narrative feel that’s whats missing. There are key features that’s getting the attention.Feel like you’ve feel into the trap of these YouTube ‘designers’Example the “The Pasteria” what’s the point of it’s use in your portfolio?, it’s a logo over a photo and with poorly layout menu cards. If a client was going to invest money in their logo and brand design they’ll be used a lot more. From the front of the store, applied more contextually.Look at Louise Fili https://www.louisefili.com/restaurants if was going to be pitching a logo and brand to a client you’d be going through alot more detial to win the client through pitching. Invest in finding or creating/photographing your own mockups.a stone’s dough project has potential to be presented at a stronger scale.
