I'm looking for a go-to graphic designer for Dameer and the first asset needs to be pulled together by next week (!)
Dameer is an independent Indie Pop artist whose debut EP For We Are Distant just hit 5 million streams with rave reviews from NME, Clash, Complex and more.
Now based in Montréal, Dameer has been breaking down stereotypes and rebuilding the global Bangladeshi identity since he was 16 through surprisingly mature songwriting, woozy lo-fi production and beautiful visuals from local and international directors Adam Sinclair (Tyler, The Creator, Yuna, G-Eazy) and Taha Ismail.
The video for his debut single Easier was Dameer & Taha's romanticised portrayal of the brutal streets of their little-known metropolis Dhaka. His debut release bagged Dameer a record deal with Majestic Casual at 17 years old where he went on to release For We Are Distant with theirs and my (his manager) support.
Dameer and I are now working independently with his distributor The Orchard (Sony) as a tight-knit micro team looking for more enthusiastic and reliable members to support his forthcoming releases and career moves for 2022.
We're excited by long-term relationships, loyal partners and the implementation of shared ownership of the work we do together. As such are working to assemble a team with whom we can go all the way to the top, starting with an experienced freelance graphic designer who we can rely on to produce digital assets on the fly (within 1-5 days) and who ideally is interested in making recommendations on all things visual for Dameer in future.
