I've been asked to create a pdf of my work for a prospective job, but I'm struggling with where to start. Does anybody have any tips?

  • Showcase a project youve worked on that has similarities to the role and duties of the job your applying for :) also include a little bit about you and your approach! Good luck
  • The idea of a portfolio is to lead on to a phone call or a meeting. Keep the text short and punchy and show off your personality. Make them want you!
  • What KayJay said!

Make sure it's not too lengthy and has your contact details on the intro page and at the end! PDF portfolios are a good way to make sure your portfolio is catered to each client you may be approaching, making sure projects are within their realm and show them how you're a good fit!
  • This would essentially be similar to a portfolio. You would need to set up a document on Adobe indesign with each page featuring images of your work alongside text, that explains the work and thought process behind it.

You could use Pinterest for inspiration for the PDF design or design it in your own brand style.
