I was wondering if anyone had any tips/productions in sight for a postgraduate film student?

As I got essentially half a degree due to the pandemic, and then had to find an immediate job just to have a place to live, my showreel is lacking, and I cannot leave my job without that stable source of income. I've been trying to find the right thing for two years but down to circumstance, the truth is I have no idea where to start! All I know is that I have a passion for filmmaking, visual art and creative storytelling, and that given the right oppurtunity, could be very good in those fields.

I would really appreciate it if anyone can be of help. Creating film is an important part of myself that I've not had the chance to truly put into practice as of yet.

Many Thanks to you all and if anyone needs anything, just let me know!

  • Hi Troy,

I’m Jamil from The Dots! Here are my top tips to help you find work:

    1. Follow your favourite companies so you’re the first to know when they post jobs and call-outs:

    2. Build your network by connecting with people you already know, and people you want to know! (fun fact: 50-80% of jobs are filled through networking):

Oh, and your newsfeed is the place to discover all the best opportunities to network, find work and more:
