If you have a LinkedIn account, what score over 10 would you give their recent changes on Mobile and Desktop?

Networking online is now essential for most professionals - what features would you like to see? What do you like about LinkedIn? What do you hate about LinkedIn?

  • Hi @Sophia Sharpley you raised a very good point about LinkedIn may need to be "less formal, reflecting social changes over the past year". I say this because product success is all about user centricity, and they'd do well to look into how users feel about the level of formality/culture on the platform.

  • I think there are still a lot of aspects of LinkedIn that could be improved. However, I do find the layout is clear and user friendly, so overall I find it a good platform.

If they are updating the service to allow for more real time posting and encouraging the space to become less formal, reflecting social changes over the past year, then I think that is great, although will have to see how it plays out in reality.

For now I'd say a 6/10. Let's see where this goes...
  • Hi @Abigail Weaver fair points, I like LinkedIn too for entirely different reasons to why I like The Dots!
Agree, LinkedIn now looks sleeker. I too want tools to reorder my profile. Also I'd like this for downloading PDF too.
New features are 'stories'. Messaging features seem so far unchanged. I'd love to see better search in there. I have other constructive feedback. I think this is a great opportunity for them, with ongoing roll-out in coming weeks.
What would you say out of 10?
  • Is it bad that I haven't seen many changes ha! I know it looks sleeker but I can't see any new features.

I really like LinkedIn. But I do think it would be good if you could re-order your profile. So the first thing people see is experience rather than activity. If you had some ace reccomendations you could pop them at the top?
