- Oh how nice! I'd suggest a Tuesday or Wednesday morning for the best reach. Keep the email subject line concise and intriguing. A press release attachment is usually preferred. Consider offering exclusive interviews or early access to build relationships. Also you can take a look on https://betterme.world/articles/boiled-bananas/ for some inspo. Good luck!
- @Katie Baldwin Hey Katie, thanks so much for your tips - super helpful! x
- Hi Lucy!Just a tip in terms of the structure of the email. Always include the press release within the body of the email, don't send anything as an attachment. I have found a brief intro with release helps, and to follow up with imagery separately via wetransfer if they're interested to ensure I don't fill up their mailbox! Also fully research the media you're going to; are there particular features you want your product in, if so name it in the pitch email to prove you know the title and are helping the journalist by providing a really useful product its readers will want to find out about. They'll also all have different deadlines if print so try and find out when they're published to consider when you need to get copy over.Consider if you have budget too, quite a few online trade titles will run features with a fee attached.Hope that helps! Thanks,Katie
