Looking back, what advice would you give to your Newly Graduated Self?
As of today I’m officially a Certified Graphic Designer!
I’m really looking forward to entering the professional world.
And I’d love to hear some wisdom from creatives who’ve been through all this already!
(+ Additionally if you have any Competition / Award recommandations for young Designers, or any job opportunities for Junior Designers that you know of, let me know)
Thank you, and have a lovely day!

- Be more open to other people's ideas. Have a plan, but make it a flexible plan you can change if you need to.
- Do.Not. compare your journey to others... no matter what! You Got this <3

- Create an informed plan, as opposed to 'hope for the best'. But also, be fearless, learn, and CREATE. Every day.
- Network more. When you work with people take detailed notes of what they do and their names- even if you don't get contact details I find a physical description useful too.
- @Sander Gee that’s an amazing opportunity, thank you so much!I’d be happy to private message you for more info.
- @Anna Negrini thank you so much, I definitely needed to hear that! All the best
- Keep learning, creating and exploring. Create work for friends to gain experience. Are you based in london? I’m looking for an apprentice
- I'd say not to rush into things. I was eager to work (and of course to earn) so I choose the first job I've been offered, but I think the first steps are super important for your future (the kind of job, the quality of the projects, the mentorship you can get) so choose carefully. Also don't be scared to approach studios whose work you like as sometimes it's much easier to get into if you are a fresh graduate than a person with experience (if this doesn't align with the studio culture).
