Looking for an editor for a feature doc about a disabled guy riding a horse up a mountain
'Max vs Everest' tells the incredible true story of a young disabled man and his journey to gain validation in society by attempting a world first trek to Everest Base Camp - on horseback.
An independent feature doc, our small team have been working over the past 2 lockdowns to edit the film. We are at a stage where we need fresh eyes to come in and lead the final push in the edit.
We are looking for someone to come on board for 2-4 weeks (as much as our budget will stretch - we are flexible with work time), to start this month or in September.
The way we tell Max's story is incredibly important as this is not an "inspirational disabled person" story, rather a film that over Max's journey, allows him to question -and thus rewrite- those negative narratives. Our thematic focus is on Max's masculinity and how societal pressure pushed him to put his life on the line, just to "prove society wrong".
All disabled applicants will be interviewed. This is a remote job only. Thanks!

- Hey there! I am Hans. I am a filmmaker by profession and Editor, I have maintained audiovisual studies, throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work for many brands, mainly generating content for social networks and web campaigns, so I am currently in search of new opportunities where I can contribute my skills and knowledge to generate content in the best possible way i'm really sure and believe in my capacities, i could say that I'm like an octopus with the capacity to develop my skills into any task, taking and developing different kinds of projects. I have had experience working in Chile and Denmark for different companies, working with brands such as: Vans, The North Face, Ripcurl, SkullCandy, MessyWeekend, among others.
