  • Hi Sarah,

First of all well done to make this move, I personally felt going freelance one of the hardest yet best decision I ever did. Although I work on different area some common advice

    - get to know the basics for your accounting
    - have savings for 6 months
    - get a work boddy (2 or 4 legs)
    - set some basic principle what you want to achieve in each year and make active moves towards that goal,
    - have a clear idea what is the ideal work life balance for you and stick to it

Hope it helps. Best of luck with it!

Unlearn any bad habits you picked up from employment that you don't want to keep. Sometimes gotta work hard on this because they are so embedded you barely notice they're there.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

Define your target market as much as possible at first then refine as you go if necessary.

Make it crystal clear what you do on your website, and why it's useful to said target market. Make it really easy to get in contact with you (but maintain boundaries, set work/email hours etc.)

    Good luck!
  • @Fab Giovanetti Thank you, will get cracking on this asap!
