Off, a new bi-annual print magazine is looking for contributors (writers, photographers, and illustrators). Pitch deadline is July 9.

What we need:
We’re open to investigative features, guides, essays, profiles,
opinion pieces and interviews. We’ll need a short pitch of your
idea/s, and a sample (1-2 paragraphs or an intro) for each to
help us imagine the final piece.

Let us know what format you envision, and how many words
you’ll need. Is it a traditional multi-page spread, or a Q&A, a
guide or “listicle”, a boxed-out column, or long-form essay?
Based on current submissions for this edition, we’re
particularly interested in hearing your ideas for first-person
pieces and articles exploring culture, art and design within
the theme.

Words are important, but illustrating the story is too. Let us
know if you require graphics or a photographer to help bring
your piece to life. And of course, please include a base quote
for the piece(s) included in your pitch.

Ways of working:
The deadline for pitches is July 9.

We’ll let you know by July 15 if we’ve selected your
submission(s) and will need your completed work submitted
by Aug 6.

Our in-house copy editors and proofreaders will make
suggestions if necessary. We’ll check in with you to get your
thoughts before we move forward.

You’ll receive a preview of your contribution to review in layout
before it goes to print early September.
