One of the barriers I'm facing is my lack of proven experience in a working marketing environment.

My working career doesn't detail little to no marketing experience. It's been done OOH, during my spare time to improve my skillset; online courses, producing content etc.

It is frustrating when applying for roles and proven experience is required. Unfortunately, it's a case of "how can I get experience if no one is going to give me an opportunity?"

    Hey Sêan, just start writing. Set yourself briefs e.g.

    - Make up a line extension for a well-known brand and write the product pack copy, web copy and a customer email

    - Add executions to an existing campaign - perhaps there were some TV ads but no social posts

    Or find briefs online - sign up to D&AD (free membership) and download the New Blood briefs to answer (not enter).
