Since the outbreak of the coronavirus more and more people are experiencing the same issues and problems – job loss, financial insecurity and anxiety.
With this OPEN CALL Nobody Island wants to claim more realistic (=optimistic) worldview as basic income could be. Can you see this future?
This Open Call seeks for creative imaginaries of a future with the
a Universal Basic Income (UBI).
You are invited to submit projects, also already existing ones, in form of images, videos, text and sound – depending on your expertise and your method of expression. It could be posters, illustrations, photographs, short-movies, sculptures, urban design approaches, language art, poetry, music, digital art, paintings, etc.
How would a Universal Basic Income transform the world? How would it change your life? How could this utopian vision be translated with your method of expression?

- @Neil Farmer Hi Neil - thank you for sharing your story. Thank you because I think telling your owns story is the most powerfull thing you could do as an artist. I personally also have different opinions that goes on in my head : is Universal Basic Income actually a good thing? or not? - I personally have been lived in different cities. I feel Basic Income could benefit some but make others feel worst. It's amazing how you brought mental health in this - because actually affects it. -- I can not tell you what my vision is but it might be not far away from yours. But that vision is going to affect my artboard and therefore the jpg (for this case) that I'm going to submit to Nobody is an Island. I think it would be an immense priviledge to have your ideas on board too. The world is beautiful only because is so diverse. Thank you!
- having been on incapacity benefits for a few years now.. i can tell you its not a fun life to live.. people dont take you seriously when you live on the hand out of your family. but this year i am taking charge again.. and getting back into my 3d world.. its been a nice experience.. if it leads to new wealth that will be nice. but in all truth i just want the hoby again i miss the art...
