Opportunity: Researcher at Create the Future
If you are interested in generating themes, pitching topics, and brainstorming creative ideas, this volunteer role would be a great fit for you!
About Create the Future:
At Create the Future, our aim is to alleviate climate anxiety and enable behaviour change through climate optimism, creativity and empowerment, working with a range of people and organisations to change the narrative on the climate crisis to one of hope and imagination. For the Creative Team, this means a focus on how this can be done through a variety of artistic expressions.
About the role:
A Researcher for the Creative Team would help to align our projects with current world events and politics, global happenings, discussion topics, and historical significance. If you are interested in brainstorming ideas for creative projects, researching interesting environmental topics and happenings, building a team of people, and seeing your idea through to the end then we would love to hear from you.
This volunteer role would suit someone who is good at bringing together actual real-world happenings with creative vision and aligning the two in order to establish a message which speaks to a wide audience and shares our message of hope and positivity.
This role will also give you the chance to breathe life into your own creative ideas and passions which we can share with the wider Create the Future community.
How to apply:
If you have an interest in this role, please email Leah (leah@createthefuture.earth) and Jess (jess@createthefuture.earth) with a brief cover letter detailing your experience and skills as well as your creative interest.
Here are some prompts if you’re not sure where to start.
1. What significant climate-related days are there for you this year and why do they mean something to you?
2. What would you like to get out of this role?
3. Have you had any experience of research before and what skills could you bring to this position?
We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for taking the time to apply! :)
