About me
I am a Bristol-based writer with experience in researching and writing blogs, articles, magazines, journals, reviews, and company literature such as flyers and brochures across a wide variety of sectors. I also write poetry alongside short and long-form fiction in my free time and work as a bookseller in one of the UK's largest independent bookshops. I have a particular passion for environmental work and am excited to use my storytelling and communication skills for positive climate action and activism. I am currently working as part of a games studio called Kash & Germ, where I create game narratives and do level design as well as marketing. I have had my work published in various magazines and journals, and as part of the Canal Poetry Route project I set up in 2018, my poetry has been installed in the Bath flight of locks along the Kennet and Avon canal. This is a project I am working on expanding, following the development of a full Bath Canal Poetry Route for my MA in Environmental Humanities. During the pandemic, I also co-hosted the Unlatched Podcast with Amy Hodkin, a podcast for sharing poetry, short stories, non-fiction, and original music, from one home to another.

  • A Home Below
A Home BelowWe're making a game! A Home Below (working title) is a 3D third-person adventure game, where you play as a hermit crab exploring the ruins of a house lost to sea level rise. In this imagined future, the UK coastline is creeping inward, consuming a house located in a fictional North Welsh town. In the years since it went under, the house has become a habitat for familiar but changed marine creatures, living amongst the memories of a human domain. Explore the house to find new shells and grow, d
  • Bath Canal Poetry Route
Bath Canal Poetry RouteOver the last year I have re-launched and re-invented the Bath Canal Poetry Route into a proposal for a series of 10 or more site-specific poems, forming a poetry route that can be followed up or down the towpath along the canal in Bath. Over the summer of 2023, I invited the public to send me words, phrases, ideas and themes linked to the Bath Canal, which I incorporated into a series of collaborative poems. These poems respond to the canal’s features, histories, mythologies, wildlife hotspots
  • Predictive Text Poetry Project
Predictive Text Poetry ProjectThe Predictive Text Poetry Project is a collaborative poetry project that experiments with predictive text. Right now, we are using social media on our phones more than usual. The constantly updating custom dictionary of your phone's predictive text reflects the conversations you, personally, have been having via your phone recently, and can provide a powerful insight into the collective consciousness of the present moment. Every 3-4 days I post a prompt on my website and on my social media ch
