Paid Gallery Work Experience for Students with Carpentry Skills on De-Rig of Exhibition 19-21 March 2024

Hi, I am looking for 2-3 students (architecture, design, carpentry, set design) who have practical carpentry skills and are happy to lift timber panels and use an electric drill, wire cutter, etc., to disassemble exhibition scenography in the form of timber units. The period of work is Tuesday 19th - Thursday 21st March 2024 in Roca London Gallery (opposite Imperial Wharf station, Chelsea Harbour). The work is to disassemble the acclaimed exhibition 'Small Spaces in the City: ReThinking Inside the Box'. The timber scenography was designed by JCPCDR architecture and hand-crafted by Thibault Pitois of L'Atelier Pan in Paris, who is providing written instructions and will be in phone contact. The fee is £70 a day, working from 9am-5pm with a one hour lunch break, and I am also happy to offer timber panels for your own creative work if this is of interest and you can transport them? I am also happy to offer to art / architecture schools. This is a great opportunity to handle wood - you must be responsible and follow gallery procedures - and also to add this stunningly futuristic Zaha Hadid-designed gallery to your portfolio of work experience. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more.
