The charity I work for, LDN London, is looking for an illustrator or designer for a band night poster

Note - This role is now closed - thank you everyone for getting in touch. I'll respond to everyone very soon. Really appreciate all the enquiries from so many incredible designers, artists and illustrators.

This is a paid job, but unfortunately our budget is limited as a charity but of course will expect to pay for this.

Find more details below and let me know if you are interested.

LDN London is holding a charity music night to raise money for people with learning disabilities and autism. We would like a fun and striking poster to advertise it. We are raising money for our Community Hub.
LDN London is a charity which supports people with learning disabilities in five boroughs across London.

Key requirements:
• The poster should make people think of London but not with a specific location (Ie not the London Eye or Tower Bridge. A red phone box or London bus, for example, would be much better).
• Be diverse in who the poster represents and use inclusive design principles. (This article may be useful).
• It is clearly a band / music night.
• Use some light application of our brand colours in the poster and our logo (two shades of blue and one of pink.) Blue is our main colour, so it’s most important that this is included in some way. We have brand guidelines with the shades for you to use.
• Our charity’s name is clear and prominent.
• Deadline - early September

One idea we have had: You could draw or design a tube / underground train station / a tube train at a platform. The date of the event could be on the screen which says how long until the next train is coming. You could draw a few little characters – including musicians, including people with disabilities. Maybe there are tube stops somewhere where you see the band names.

Visuals

An illustrated or graphically designed poster. We can include some examples at your request.

  • Hey Ciaran 👋🏻
Just wondering... Are you wanting designers to send over a pitch (past work examples) & sketch concept, or email over a finished design?
I'm an Illustrator who has a connection to the Autistic community, so would love to be a part of this project.
