Want to make great work? Try the Rob Olive technique.

To do great work you have to give people time and space. (Especially the introverts.) The best advice I got on this was at AMV BBDO from Rob Oliver: "If you're in a client meeting and there is a problem with the work don't try and solve it there and then. Simply say 'We'll have a think and get back to you.'. This gives the team time to really craft the right answer together and be sure it's great. Avoid knee jerk responses. They nearly always lead to half-baked thinking and compromised creative work."
