What are the key details you look for when somebody offers you a video collab?

  • So, when I receive a job offer I first take into consideration the nature of the project and the brand/company I have to work for, to understand if everything is aligned with my style and my portfolio.

Then I evaluate whether the budget is adequate, I find it quite annoying to use the term "collaboration" as a synonym for 'no budget', but it must be a GenZ thing that I don't understand.

If it is a color grading job, I evaluate the camera with which it was shot and whether adequate color profiles (LOG) and codecs (ProRes and Raw) were used.

    Red Flags:

    - the claim to have people work for free; I treat myself to one pro bono job a year, it can be a personal project or a type of work that I have never dealt with and that intrigues me.
    - ghosting when asking for more information about the project.
    - missing job calls.
