What channels are people getting most of their comissions from

Is instagram dead? Does anyone actually use pinterest for hiring? Or are job boards now the best way. Thought it'd be good to ask before everyone deletes their insta.

  • Hi Emile, I've found more work on job boards than through sites like Instagram (where I haven't found any work). Job boards are also a good way to find out about other companies and see what's out there, even if you can't apply for the particular job they are advertising. I have used Indeed, If You Could, Creativepool. Years ago I used Elance/Upwork to supplement my income when work was slow, but they changed how they do things and it's geared more to people who use it intensively, and you are competing more and more with creatives across the globe who are prepared to work for really low wages. Personally I think it's a case of firing off tailored emails or calling people if possible, and sending tailored pdfs of work to companies after seeing the kind of thing they do. I have also websearched and found work from companies I didn't know existed. It's a case of keep looking and don't be discouraged if companies don't respond.
