What is your idea of success? Is it financial security, job satisfaction, peer recognition, or something else?
With so many terrible situations around the world, and also closer to home (e.g. war, poverty, climate change, human trafficking ...) amid the ongoing festive season, even if you are just starting out in your career, is it time to ponder your aims in life? Does success mean:
• Financial security - a certain annual salary so you can live the life you want
• Recognition - for your work from the creative and wider community, and/or your family or friends
• Job satisfaction - that you do the work you love to the best of your ability even if it means compromising on pay
• A holistic lifestyle - your career does not define who you are and other things might be equally or more important to you
• None of the above - something else entirely
• A combination of the above
