Why/When would you go for a B&W shot?
Option 1: I might just be too harsh on this, but sometimes I have the feeling that people go for a B&W option when colour wasn't well planned, the palette didn't work or the photographer just couldn't pull the colors together. Something like "oh colour here is a bit crap, lets make it B&W".
Option 2: It looks cooler on some shots, artsy and vintage?

- When it was the plan from the outset, you think out every aspect of the shoot differently when the intended outcome is B+W.If you are using B+W as a rescue strategy for an idiot on set...... I'm sure you get the picture!
- Sometims when the colours are a distraction from the story of the photo.Sometimes to make it look arty.Sometimes because its a poorly executed shot, that just looks better in b/w to save the shot.
